What a fabulous time! Women from all over the city came to mingle, peruse the vendor tables, and sample a few of the salon’s services. Midway through the evening, everyone gathered in one room and listened as Kristin shared the story of how her book came about. Then she broke us up into small groups. Each group had a corkboard that had a question and we were to pin our answers on the board. Although it wasn’t intended to be an icebreaker, by nature of the activity, it was. This was a fantastic way to get women to think about and discuss the various obstacles and breakthroughs to bring pretty back in our lives.
She also added special touches that would carry the memories of the evening into the days ahead. First of all, her business cards were attached to chocolate-dipped pretzel sticks. THAT’S memorable right there! She also had small hot pink boas that she sold for $4 each. All proceeds went to the Fistula Foundation to help women with this condition (typically in third world countries) receive the help they need. Combining fun with a cause. How memorable is that?!!
All of this took place at Hyde Park’s newest salon, Alba Beauty Studio and Cincy Style Bar – sort of a two-for-one salon. What a great opportunity for everyone involved! By aligning with others that have connections to your target market, everyone benefits from the shared pool of potential buyers. Each participant promotes the event to their own audiences, highlighting the larger opportunity of a multi-vendor event. Essentially, by having several entities promoting the event, each to their own individual audiences, the result becomes a larger reach and bigger benefits to the guests, than any one individually could otherwise produce. Everyone wins!
VSP is available to capture your event with photos and video. If you would like to promote your event beforehand with video, we can help with that as well.
